Upon graduating from Bournemouth Film School alongside alumni Edgar Wright & Joe Cornish – CJ worked his way up the art departments for various big budget productions at both Pinewood and Shepperton Studios under the likes Joe Nemec III (Terminator 2, The Abyss) and Norman Garwood (Hook, Brazil). From there, CJ moved into freelance editing, cutting promos and features whilst working towards directing his first feature film in 2006.

CJ’s big break came when was hand picked by Channel 4/Film4 as a guest director for their 2015 Moment of Horror series. His entry, Night Feed starred Alice Lowe (Sightseers, Paddington) and David Oakes (Victoria, The Borgias). It went on to become the highest rated film of the series and is now available on All 4.

CJ has had three comedy feature films released worldwide, winning the Melies D’Argent and nominated for the coveted Melies D’Or at Sitges International Film Festival.
The greatest talent CJ has garnered through his experience in feature films is working with all types of performers, be they Bafta winning, Oscar nominated actors, sports stars or child actors taking their first steps into the field. This has allowed him to quickly launch a successful parallel career in TV commercials and has shot a large number of adverts for many Global Brands in most continents.

When he’s not behind the camera, CJ loves to surf the south coast of England and hang out with his kids.
